Tano Festa, 2 November 1938 - 9 January 1988, was an Italian artist, painter and photographer. Tano Festa studied at the Rome Institute of Art and graduated in photography in 1957. He was influenced by Cy Twombly.His first public participation took place in 1959, together with Franco Angeli and Giuseppe Uncini, at a collective exhibition at the La Salita gallery in Rome, where hold his first personal exhibition in 1961.
Since 1963 Festa also focused on the masters of Italian and Renaissance traditions, in particular Michelangelo of the Sistine and of the Medici Chapels.
